The Heart & Sunshine

17 February 2011
As promised, daily poem/quotation from Dad’s little Longfellow Book for you to ponder on by yourselves.
The storm is over, and through the parting clouds the radiant sunshine breaks upon my path.
The Pilgrim’s Salutation
Oh flames that glowed!
Oh hearts that yearned!
They were indeed too much akin;
The driftwood fire without that burned,
The thoughts that burned and glowed within.
The Fire of Driftwood
