Why Worry ?!!

Worry wastes time.

Worry cannot produce good fruit – the only fruit we reap from it is more worry.

It can become a way of life.

We worry whether someone will like us

We worry if we will do a job well

We worry if we can pay our bills each month

We worry if our health will fail us

We worry about war

We worry about prices

We worry about the traffic

We worry about germs

We worry if we gain or lose a pound in weight

We become consumed with worry …………………………………. I see worry everywhere.

Worry reminds us of Lamentations 3:22-23

Because of the Lord‘s great love we are not consumed, for his compassion will never fail.

They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Worry could consume us like fire – like a pile of smoldering embers that quietly destroys everything around it;  because we worry, we work hard to get ahead, do well and try to avoid pain.  However, our efforts may fail.  Only the compassion of the Lord will never fail.  His faithfulness is monumental, majestic, true and permanently dependable.

The Weight Issue

For those of us who fear gaining weight need to trust in Lamentations £:22-23.  When we fully grasp that we are not alone in our desire to be healthy and strong – that the Lord is blessing us to this end, only then will we begin to trust his faithfulness.

Each morning should be a dedication to discover His compassion to be new and fresh.

We NEED to offer up our ‘whole selves’ to God

~ “Great is your faithfulness!”~

  1. Worry really can take over your life…. it should be replaced by awareness.
