A Child of ‘The King’
There is a world of difference between confessing that you are a child of God and living a life as child of God. Many people profess faith and yet live in constant fear. They suffer from a destructive sense of inferiority and they are unable to deal with life’s problems. There is such a gap between what they should be and what they really are that they tend to become despondent and to abandon their principles.
When God called you to become His Child and when you reacted to his call with joy, a new life began for you. Your sins were forgiven and since then you have stood in a New relationship with the King. Through His grace you became part of His Kingdom. Because His Spirit now lives and works in you, your behaviour towards people and your total way of life has been revolutionised.
The advent-time reminds you once again that you should face life with conviction and without fear. Your Father is the King of kings. Knowing that He loves you and cares about you should give you inner peace. The steadfast faith that He will guide you safely
‘ if you obey‘ Him and return His love should be your comfort in life. Through Jesus Christ He invites you to call Him “Father”.
Even if Jesus Christ were born in Bethlehem a thousand times, but is not yet in my heart, Christmas is a meaningless event.
