The afterglow of Christmas
Each one of us experiences something of the miracle of Christmas every year, in the Christmas carols, colourful lights and in the gifts that we receive. There should be a spirit of love and goodwill everywhere.
After the song of the angels have died down, after the stars have disappeared from the skies, only then does the real work of Christmas begin.
The afterglow of Christmas should remain in our lives every single day of the year. With the glow of love in our hearts, we should continue to have compassion for our neighbours/fellow-man, even after Christmas. We should continue to help rebuild the world with the music of His Eternal Love!
This year Tony and I were incredibly blessed in that we were invited to spend Christmas Day with friends, and friends of these friends, people whom we had never met. I believe that we have now made ‘new friends’ who love the Lord as much as I do! We had the most amazing meal served to us over a series of different ‘layers/courses’. The love of Christ and the true spirit of Christmas was evident in this home and we walked away with precious memories, never to be forgotten.
I pray that all who are reading this had a wonderful Christmas day, filled with love and lots of laughter
We should love God because He is God, and the measure of our love should be to love Him each day without measure.
