What would Jesus do?
The temptation to act in a normal, human manner in any given situation is always present. Consequently, the sharpness of the tongue will always be inclined to make a painful remark. Meanness will inevitably manifest itself, with the sole purpose of winning points. A prolonged feud may result from a refusal to forgive some trifling matter. It is fairly accurate to say that most of the world’s ills have their origins in the weakness and inconstancy of human nature.
To overcome the temptation to take revenge or to react in a way that will damage your relationship with someone else, first calm down and think before you do or say something. (I have learnt this the hard way -!)
Consider the way in which Jesus would handle the situation. The Scriptures contain many instances of the hostility, ridicule, false accusations, humiliation and rejection that He had to suffer. Despite this, He said and did ‘nothing without love’. (Makes one think :~)
Regardless of how strong the temptation is to react in anger in any situation, stop for a moment …. and allow the Spirit of God to flow through your heart. By doing this, you will know that you will not be the cause of someone else’s hurt. Through the love that you show – you will emerge from any circumstance as a victor in Jesus Christ! Hallelujahhhhh!!!
Have an awesome day and remember to keep on shining for Jesus! God Bless You.
